All of my life I've been lost. Searching for a clue at who I am or will be in the future. I've never had a clear-cut view on my ""soul"" but maybe that is because the idea of souls is sappy and unrealistic in my opinion (aka the best opinion). But soul-searching, that is a fun getaway. Kind of like horoscopes. The only reason my horoscope is sometimes accurate is because I define the cynical, head-bitch-in-charge that is a Scorpio. I can't make any promises, but I think I might actually find who I am in Argentina. Maybe.
Adios, East Coast!

Woah
So, my passports come in, all my forms filled out, all the important things done. Ps, Look at how cute my passport photo is! Definitely using this when I get carded instead of the disaster that is my license. I can't tell if i'm having a heart attack or if I'm just really excited. I'm not sure but I think having a heart attack would disrupt my travel plans. 33 days left. I'm still in shock that this is actually going to happen.

Top 5
I guess starting a blog during finals week, combined with my penchant for procrastinating, does not a blog make. The program I'll be travelling with suggests bringing American delicacies down to give to your host family as gifts. So that got me thinking, what constitutes an American delicacy? After that, I started thinking about the things I'll miss most when I'm out of the country for an undetermined amount of time. I had Checkers (their seasoned fries are a delicacy in my opinion) while mulling these thoughts over and decided to make a list and subsequently a blog post about it for all of my readers to see (hey mom!). Here are the top things I'll be missing
5. Bagels. There is only one bagel store in Buenos Aires, bagelazo.com.ar, and you have to order in half dozens. I guess that will suffice.
4. The internet. The program orientation says Wifi is a "luxury" and that not many people have them. This also coming from the same booklet that says not to bring my laptop with me. What are they, insane??
3. Do they have Subways in Buenos Aires? I'm too scared to Google and find out. Where else can I get my veggie patty on italian herb and cheese with onions and chipotle southwest sauce! Cancel the trip if they don't.
2. Driving. I love driving around- I find it relaxing. It's convenient and efficient. Now I'll have to learn how to ride a bike, use public transportation or (gasp!) maybe even walk. I know, I know.
1. Phoebe, my pride and joy.

Hola, Holla!
I'm one of the very few people who hasn't left the East Coast, much less been on a plane. So, like I always say... go big or go home! Well, I never actually say that and usually err on the side of inaction but like I said in my last post, there's a new me, ect. So, what's a better way to experience my first flight then on an 18 hour one where all the window and aisle seats have already sold out?
Next semester I'll be studying abroad in..........
Next semester I'll be studying abroad in..........
This is probably the single most exciting thing I have ever done in my 21 years of existence. And technically it's still on the East Coast, so that's comforting.

Me Me Me.
I'm Samantha. Just a 21 year old girl from The Jersey Shore, studying Advertising at Temple University but switching to Latin American Studies with a minor in Spanish. Here's the down and dirty:
I decided to start a blog because the times, they are a changin' in my life. More to come on that later.
Likes: every type of media, tattoos, bachata, feminism, wine, mexican food, arrested development, cappuccinos, leopard print, nail polish, dogs, drinking on the beach, shoes and apparently resting my head in my hand and taking pictures.
Hates: most things
